Smart move, John! I always bubble-wrap my bottles individually as well, just in case the baggage handlers aren’t too gentle. I also found this thread here with much more advice on how to travel by airplane with bottles and glass items.

Ginny, you can technically have a checked bag just with liquor, but I usually pack mine surrounded by clothes for cushioning.

Anyone know if I can buy alcohol on the plane and bring that into India in addition to the 2 liters? I remember seeing duty-free on the flight.

Ginny, a word of advice – if you’re buying that bourbon at the airport duty-free, keep the receipt handy. Sometimes customs officers can be a bit stricter depending on where you’re flying from.

Just a heads up, Ginny – the 2-liter allowance for liquor typically applies to purchases made at duty-free shops after you clear security. If you’re bringing the bourbon from home, it might be best to check in the bottles.

And one last thing – download the British Airways app before your flight! It has entertainment details and other useful flight info all in one place.

Good tip! I’m curious, does anyone know if British Airways provides headphones, or do you always need to bring your own?

Definitely agree! I always look forward to their in-flight entertainment. Any idea if they offer those Paramount+ exclusives on all flights? I’m interested in catching up on a few shows.
